"Oh, I never knew you did that. Thats fantastic. Very well done." Dad

While Dad had been going through his cancer journey over the time of my kids going through TSW, art was my peaceful solace throughout. Dad had battled with cancer for many years, however we were on limited time now, and we knew it was going to be a fine line if my kids would be well enough to fly to see him interstate. 

Before entering into TSW I prayed that my kids would have one last chance to say goodbye, even better, while he was still at home and not in a hospital bed. 

November of 2023, my daughter was still struggling with some harsher areas of TSW on her body, however made it on the flight to see Dad. Prayer answered! 

What Dad didn't know was that I was working on Christmas commissions. This is the first time I showed him my work. He had seen me create so many things over the years - woodwork art, sketching, painting, mixed media, canvas paintings. Always threaded through my days. 

Watercolour painting became the easiest and quietest art form I could do while the kids were healing. 

My small business has grown from a request for 2 Christmas commissions in 2023 to quite a number of commissions, to be a regular part of my weeks, producing professional & very meaningful house portraits interstate and locally.
